Our Northridge club has a thriving member community, and there’s nowhere this energy is felt more than in Group Fitness. Our diverse class offering balances cardio, strength, and mind/body classes to meet the complete needs of your body. Our diverse assortment of group fitness classes is designed to enrich body and soul to enhance your total wellbeing. Whether you get your sassy salsa on in a Zumba class, slow it down with a yoga session suited to your style and skill level, or sweat it out on a spin cycle, you will benefit from both the workout and sharing the experience with an enthusiastic community of like-minded peers.
Our Personal Trainers and Group Fitness Instructors hold nationally recognized fitness certifications and are trained in CPR. At our Northridge fitness center, classes are offered 7 days a week and childcare is always available. Total Woman Gym + Spa, Northridge, is one of our eight Los Angeles area clubs.
Use the balancing and strengthening techniques of ballet in a group fitness environment using small weights, bands, and Pilates balls to improve core, leg, and arm strength while lengthening the body. It is a low impact workout with graceful movement. Great for non-dancers and dancers alike!
This workout is designed to define your muscles, build endurance and give you the results you desire!
Taught by a massage therapist, this is a self care class using myofacial release to unwind physical symptoms and the corresponding emotional component.
This ultimate calorie-burning workout combines the best of cross-training conditioning with speed drills, plyometrics, and power exercising.
This workout focuses on using your
"power house" upper and lower body, with a mixture of strength building, balance and agility using dumbbells, resistance bands all while strengthening your core.
This cardio/strength combination class alternates strength exercises to sculpt every major muscle group with easy to follow cardio moves.
Simulating an outdoor ride complete with sprints, hill climbs and other terrain, this interval training class will definitely get your heart pumping!
This class that “fuses” cycle with other formats. The cycle is 30 to 45 mins. after the cardio it is fused with strength or barre/pilates/yoga, or even a bootcamp format providing a total body workout.
D.I.O. – DANCE IT OUT
A total body, high energy, cardio dance class that infuses styles of dance including hip hop, Bollywood, line dancing, disco, 80’s, african, hula and more.
This challenging class utilizes heavy bags and gloves to ensure that you get a total body workout! Must have gloves to use bags.
Uses MAX Interval Training which replaces your moderate intensity exercise with maximum-intensity exercise, and your short intervals of intensity with short periods of rest.These fast-twitch fibers continue burning extra fuel even during lower-intensity exercise. INSANITY pushes you beyond what you thought was possible with explosive cardio and plyometric drills and non-stop intervals of strength, power and resistance.
JILLIAN MICHAELS BODYSHRED™
JILLIAN MICHAELS BODYSHRED is a 30-minute, high intensity and endurance based class that utilizes Jillian’s 3-2-1 interval approach: 3 minutes of strength, 2 minutes of cardio & 1 minute of abs.
LIGHT AND FIT
This class will involve some light resistance training and cardio.
Inspired by the Joseph Pilates method, this class emphasizes body awareness while building strength and flexibility without excess bulk.
This workout, a fusion of Yoga and Pilates, uses a series of exercise routines designed to increase your Core (abs/obliques/lower back) strength and endurance while improving your posture, energy, & flexibility. All levels welcome.
Yoga and Pilates based movements combined with standing balance work, traditional abdominal exercises and flowing stretches to help you achieve long, lean muscles giving you a powerful, flexible, and youthful body. This comprehensive core workout will leave you feeling strong and re-energized!
Move your feet and hips to the latest Latin rhythms for a great cardiovascular workout.
Hi/Low impact movements performed on and off a step platform are geared at optimizing your ability to burn fat.

STRETCH + RESTORE
With slow flowing movement, deep stretch and restorative postures, Stretch & Restore is a great class for all levels of practitioners who like a slower paced class, focusing on increased flexibility and an enhanced state of mind.
The class with rhythm that will have you toned in no time! Work every major muscle group in this fun class and watch your body transform. Total Tone combines high-energy cardio work and targeted body-sculpting exercises to create a calorie-torching, strength-training fitness party. Feel and look great with your upper body, legs, bums, and tums! All levels welcome.
Stretching, deep breathing, relaxation, and healing visualizations are used to facilitate release of physical and emotional tension, increase flexibility and improve balance.
Zumba is a fusion of Latin and international music with exciting unique moves utilizing the principles of fitness interval training with easy to follow dance steps.
Chosen for their wide variety of skill sets, our exceptional, highly certified team of personal trainers and instructors are adept at personalizing fitness programs for all ages and fitness abilities. Their knowledge and enthusiasm will motivate, challenge and inspire you to stay focused. Most of our spa team are long term members of the Total Woman family and have supplemented their training to combine pampering with therapy modalities like myofascial release and reflexology to further support your wellness.

General Manager Cate Dapello has been a part of the Total Woman family since 2015. A passionate fitness enthusiast, she continues to expand her knowledge of the fitness industry and leads by example, often working out alongside Total Woman Northridge members. Her enthusiasm and positive attitude continue to have a profound impact on the entire Total Woman community.
Ashley Lucky, Fitness Manager
Ashley Lucky, our Fitness Manager, specializes in Per/Post-Natal exercise. Certified in NASM and enjoys high intensity fun training.
Total Woman Northridge is located in the Northridge Promenade, just South of the Northridge Fashion Center Shopping Mall. Situated at the cross section of Nordhoff and Shirley Streets, you can find us tucked behind Guitar Center and La-z-boy with plenty of free parking spaces available around the entire building.
