Are you one of those types of people that prefers to work out alone? Ironically enough, you're not alone. Lots of people see working out as a solo activity, and the idea of getting your sweat on with a partner or group is unappealing. But having a workout partner comes with many benefits, and might even be the difference between achieving your fitness goals and not. In fact, it's been proven that your chances of sticking with your fitness program are significantly increased when you have a friend or partner to work out with.

Need a little more convincing? Check out some of the benefits that come with having a workout partner:

Total Commitment:
It's easy to flake out on a workout when the only person you are committed to is yourself. When you have someone who is counting on you, you are less likely to let your partner down, and more likely to show up and bring your A-game. Its great motivation for you, and you could be motivating others too!

Total Challenge:
Speaking of A-game ... As with everything in life, it's easy to get stuck in a routine, and not want to step out of your comfort zone during a workout. If you are working out with a friend that is stronger or faster than you, it will likely drive you to challenge yourself. You will want to push a little harder or go a little faster than you would have if you were on your own.

Total Fun:
Everything is more fun when done with friends, including working out. It's a perfect opportunity to catch up on each other's lives, and try out fun and unique workouts and classes. It's like killing two birds with one stone.

So are you ready to partner up and reap the benefits of group activities? Great, because this month's challenge is all about having fun, staying committed and getting the most out of your workouts together. For the next 30-days join us in making the commitment to work out with a friend (or two or three) at least 3 days per week (and more if your schedule allows). For every person this will look different. For some it may be taking a Zumba or Yoga class together, or spotting each other while lifting weights; for others it may be participating in small group trainings or taking a walk together. Whatever it is, do something you enjoy and do it together!

Use the blank calendar below to schedule workouts with your partner, and join the challenge on our Facebook page for a chance to win a free Team Personal Training Session with one of our certified personal trainers.
