BACK STRENGTHENING YOGA
This 50 minute class will help strengthen your back muscles with stability exercises, plyometrics, and Sun Salutations. Support your spine with dynamic warm-ups, back strengthening exercises, and finish with a cool down that will refresh you throughout your day!
Every Barre Fitness class is fun and empowering class set to today’s hottest music. Classes begin with a warm up focusing on postural strength and alignment, followed by a series of upper body exercises using light weights. The ballet barre is used to sculpt the lower body, abs and for flexibility training.
This workout is designed to define your muscles, build endurance and give you the results you desire.
Body sculpt is a non-aerobic, muscle-toning class, usually focused on core strength. Most sculpting classes use weight bars, exercise bands, or dumbbells, or a combination of these gadgets. You perform traditional weight-training moves in a class setting.
BollyX is a Bollywood-inspired dance-fitness program that combines dynamic choreography with the hottest music from around the world. Its 50-minute cardio workout cycles between higher and lower-intensity dance sequences to get you moving, sweating, and motivated.

This Yoga holds all the elements of traditional Eastern yoga, but modifies poses and creates new ones to fit the needs of the Western lifestyle. Focus on: lower/upper back pain, neck and shoulder issues, carpal tunnel syndrome as well as abdominal strengthening.
GENTLE YOGA - Level 1
Gentle yoga poses are designed to restore and re-energize the body, mind and spirit.
HATHA YOGA - Level 2
Stretching, deep breathing, relaxation, and healing visualizations are used to facilitate release of physical and emotional tension, increase flexibility and improve balance.
High intensity interval training focuses on exercises that use major muscle groups, compound movements, and high intensity movements that tap the energy sources inside the muscle allowing you to achieve amazing results in this 50 minute class.
HULA HOOP FITNESS
Have fun in this high-energy, fitness-based, hula-hoop class specializing in drills to strengthen. It incorporates dance moves and tricks that will burn fat, tone and shape your body while improving flexibility and posture, not to mention increasing your aerobic abiity!
Work flat out in 3 to 5 minute blocks, with only a few seconds to break; it keeps your body working at maximum capacity through the entire workout. Exercises include; plyometrics, athletic sports drills, upper body resistance, cardio, intense abdominal training and recovery.
This class concentrates on flexibility and stretching.
Inspired by the Joseph Pilates method, this class emphasizes body awareness while building strength and flexibility without excess bulk.

Zumba is a fusion of Latin and international music with exciting unique moves utilizing the principles of fitness interval training with easy to follow dance steps.
Zumba Toning combines targeted body-sculpting exercises and high-energy cardio work with Latin-infused Zumba moves to create a calorie-torching, strength-training dance fitness party. Using a variety of weights, you’ll work every muscle group while you groove.
STRONG by Zumba® combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves synced to original music that has been specifically designed to match every single move. This is for students looking for a more challenging, high intensity interval training workout.

About Our Gym and Spa
No longer a sleepy town consisting of a Naval base and the Del Monte cannery, the island city of Alameda is hip and happening, bustling with bars, restaurants, shopping and of course, the beach. Our neighborhood is truly a one stop shop for fun and entertainment before or after your group class, personal training session or independent workout. Located less than two miles from Oakland, home of the Golden State Warriors, Raiders and Athletics, our community has no shortage of sports fans. In fact, if you want to have Total Woman Gym Alameda all to yourself, come for a workout during a Golden Warriors game. An integral part of the neighborhood, Total Woman Alameda is a warm and welcoming island gem where fun, friendship and fitness meet.
Total Woman Alameda is located in South Shore Center and can be accessed either by tunnel or several Oakland streets. One street takes you along with water until you hit the Alameda Golf Course. Our entrance is located next to Ulta and you can take the steps or elevator to our front desk.
