class descriptions

BARRE FIT
This class incorporates mat and ballet barre exercises using loops, balls, and weights to challenge the whole body, building strength and grace.

BODY BLAST
This workout is designed to define your muscles, build endurance and give you the results you desire!

BOOT CAMP
This ultimate calorie-burning workout combines the best of cross-training conditioning with speed drills, plyometrics, and power exercising.

BOSU BLAST
Whether you are looking to tone and strengthen, improve core strength, lose weight, or simply get healthy and fit; the BOSU® Balance Trainer is easy to use, fun, and effective. Any exercise performed on the ground may be moved onto the BOSU® Balance Trainer to amplify the challenge and increase results. Use the BOSU® Balance Trainer, dome or platform side down...the options and exercise progressions are endless, and help to enhance mobility, strength, balance, and overall fitness levels. Anybody can use it, regardless of age or fitness level.” So I would probably say something like, “Exercises will be performed on the ground and moved onto the BOSU to increase balance, core strength, tone, and overall fitness. Options and exercise progressions will be offered to challenge any fitness level.

C.S.I.
This cardio/strength combination class alternates strength exercises to sculpt every major muscle group with easy to follow cardio moves.

CYCLE
Simulating an outdoor ride complete with sprints, hill climbs and other terrain, this interval training class will definitely get your heart pumping!  

CYCLE FUSION
Cycling with light weights works your upper body and lower body. Great cardio workout.

GENTLE YOGA
A calming, stress-relieving yoga class to stretch and strengthen the body gradually. Emphasis is on building awareness of the breath and the body through a gentle pace flow with attention to alignment and detail. Recommended for all levels looking for a relaxing, and restorative experience, especially those newer to yoga or working with special concerns or injuries.

 

 

HARDCORE
This 25 minute class will concentrate on all abdominal muscles, obliques, lower back, everything to give you a hard core.

HATHA YOGA
Hatha is the original form of yoga. The word Ha and tha means the sun and moon. Hatha yoga unites the sun and the moon side in every person. It’s perfect for ALL Levels! The class will involve static poses with the focus on breath, gaze, mindfulness, and health. This class can be challenging if the student wants to take their poses further.

H.I.I.T.
High intensity interval training focuses on exercises that use major muscle groups, compound movements, and high intensity movements that tap the energy sources inside the muscle allowing you to achieve amazing results in this 25 minute class.

INSANITY
This class is challenging, cardio conditioning, and total-body strength drills, designed for people of all levels. The moves are easy to follow—but the workout WILL challenge you, change you, and get you in the best shape of your life.

JILLIAN MICHAELS BODYSHRED™
JILLIAN MICHAELS BODYSHRED is a 30-minute, high intensity and endurance based class that utilizes Jillian’s 3-2-1 interval approach: 3 minutes of strength, 2 minutes of cardio & 1 minute of abs.

JUST STRETCH
In this 25 minute class you will concentrate on flexibility and stretching.

MAT PILATES
Inspired by the Joseph Pilates method, this class emphasizes body awareness while building strength and flexibility without excess bulk.

MODERN PILATES
Modern Pilates is an updated approach to core strengthening that mixes the art of mind/body practice with the science of body mechanics to improve posture, increase flexibility, and promote more functional and fluid movement.

 

 

PIYO
PiYo combines the muscle-sculpting, core-firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility advantages of yoga.  We crank up the speed to deliver a true fat-burning, low-impact workout that leaves your body looking long, lean, and incredibly defined.

PILOXING
A non-stop, cardio fusion of standing pilates, boxing and dance that will push you past your limits for a sleek, sexy, and powerful you!

POWER YOGA
Practice body connectedness, balance, and strength as you progress your body to move through powerful yoga poses.

PUMP IT!
A full body weight lifting class designed to tone, burn fat, and build muscle.  Appropriate for all fitness levels.

TOTAL DANCE
Take music from multiple genres, choreographed with easy combinations and add a heaping helping of fun and you have Total Dance! All levels from never danced - to been dancing forever encouraged!

TURBO KICK
The evolution of kickboxing! Cardio kickboxing taken to the next level with the hottest music, HIIT drills and core work incorporated! For all ages and levels!

U-JAM
This intense cardiovascular workoutfeatures easy to learn dance steps that make you sweat and tone your body!

VINYASA FLOW YOGA
A vigorous mind/body adventure emphasizing breathing techniques linked to flow of movement; allowing you to deepen breathing, increase endurance and test your balance and flexibility.

ZUMBA
Zumba is a fusion of Latin and international music with exciting unique moves utilizing the principles of fitness interval training with easy to follow dance steps.

ZUMBA BASICS
Slower paced break down of the general moves of the Latin songs and styles that are found in a typical Zumba class.
