Welcome to Total Woman Encinitas! 

Expect something different when you walk through the doors of Total Woman Gym + Spa. 

Of all the gyms in Encinitas, we are the only one designed specifically for women, by women. Our female-focused facility combines a health club and a day spa to provide you with all the essential services you need for sustained health and wellness in one convenient location. 

From the female friendly equipment on the gym floor to our spa amenities, childcare room (to be used during gym or spa visits), and expertly trained team – our clubs are designed to make you FEEL GOOD, INSIDE + OUT.

More than a traditional gym or stand-alone spa, Total Woman is a thriving community. We are passionate about what we do because it’s worth doing, and there’s nowhere this energy is felt more than in Group Fitness. Our group fitness program addresses the complete needs of your body through a balanced mix of Mind/Body, Cardio, and Strength focused classes.  Classes are led by experienced and inspiring instructors who challenge your body in a unique way each time.

Our Personal Trainers and Group Fitness Instructors hold nationally recognized fitness certifications and are trained in CPR. At our Encinitas fitness center, classes are offered 7 days a week and childcare is always available. Total Woman Gym + Spa, Encinitas, is one of our eight Los Angeles area clubs. 

Total Woman Encinitas is on the west side of El Camino Real, just north of Encinitas Blvd in the Encinitas Martketplace alongside Kohls, Fountain of Youth Juice and My Sister’s Closet We have plenty of free parking in front of the club.

class descriptions

BARRE FIT
This class incorporates mat and ballet barre exercises using loops, balls, and weights to challenge the whole body, building strength and grace.

TOTAL BODY BLAST
This workout is designed to define your muscles, build endurance and give you the results you desire!

JILLIAN MICHAELS BODYSHRED
JILLIAN MICHAELS BODYSHRED is a 30-minute, high intensity and endurance based class that utilizes Jillian’s 3-2-1 interval approach: 3 minutes of strength, 2 minutes of cardio & 1 minute of abs.  

CYCLE
Simulating an outdoor ride complete with sprints, hill climbs and other terrain, this interval training class will definitely get your heart pumping!  

CARDIO FUNK
A Super fun, high energy funk/hip hop style add-on choreography dance workout with safe low impact movement with non-stop music. The choreography changes weekly so you will always be learning something new!

GENTLE YOGA
Gentle yoga poses are designed to restore and re-energize the body, mind and spirit.

HATHA YOGA
Stretching, deep breathing, relaxation, and healing visualizations are used to facilitate release of physical and emotional tension, increase flexibility and improve balance.

H.I.I.T.
High intensity interval training focuses on exercises that use major muscle groups, compound movements, and high intensity movements that tap the energy sources inside the muscle allowing you to achieve amazing results in this 25 minute class.

LIGHT AND FIT
This class will involve some light resistance training and cardio.

 

LOW IMPACT
Traditional low impact moves are utilized to create this great cardio workout and finished off with stretching.

MAT PILATES
Inspired by the Joseph Pilates method, this class emphasizes body awareness while building strength and flexibility without excess bulk.

ZUMBA
Zumba is a fusion of Latin and international music with exciting unique moves utilizing the principles of fitness interval training with easy to follow dance steps.


Manager Bios

Nicole Cole is a 20-year veteran of the fitness industry and a mother of two, so she understands the importance of balancing familial responsibilities and self-care. She started with Total Woman in 2011 at the Eastlake location as a personal trainer and is now General Manager at our Encinitas gym.  Nicole loves interacting with members and regularly teaches Group Fitness classes where she can truly connect with the Total Woman community. She has been inspired by the lifelong friendships that members have built; especially at the Encinitas club, where some of the regulars call themselves the Total Women Warriorettes and even celebrate holidays and special occasions together throughout the year. 

Christine Naumann has been with Total Woman since 2012 when she started as a personal trainer. Although she took time away to return to her home in Australia briefly, she returned to the Total Woman family because she believes that there is no other place like it. A stellar athlete who first came to America on a volleyball scholarship, she has spent many hours in traditional gyms where women can often feel timid and overwhelmed. But as Fitness Manager at our gym in Encinitas, she’s loves that Total Woman provides a comfortable, non-intimidating place where women can come and work on their health and fitness goals.
